UltraBoard Classic and White DP- What’s the Difference?

UltraBoard Classic and White DP Comparison

Familiar with UltraBoard Classic for Digital Printing?

Many sign makers are familiar with our premier foam board line UltraBoard Classic. Classic has been a sign industry staple for many years, and while Classic provides excellent durability for long-term installations, UltraBoard offers a complete line of digital printing foam core alternatives that may be more cost effective for specific projects. UltraBoard Classic foam boards offer a moisture resistant polystyrene plastic facer with a durability rating of up to 10 years, but if you have digital prints for a sign installation that is more medium-term, UltraBoard White DP may be an excellent alternative.

UltraBoard White DP | Comparable Quality at a Better Price

What’s the DP– Digital Printing! Thousands of sign shop owners have produced digital prints on UltraBoard Classic for many years and are extremely happy with image quality results . White DP features a polymer coated paper facer that provides the same digital print qualities as Classic; but costs are conserved by utilizing a paper facer base. White DP possesses a more limited durability rating of 7 years due to the more porous paper base; as papers are more susceptible to environmental moisture permeation. The good news is that if your digital print installation is short to medium term, print shop owners save by switching to UltraBoard White DP.

UltraBoard White DP Size & Color Options

White DP is specifically engineered for digital printing and is available in white and white, black, white color options. Although color offerings are not as expansive as UltraBoard Classic combinations, White DP’s ultra-white paper facers were engineered for Eco-solvent, screen print , UV, and solvent ink applications; and should accommodate almost any digitally printed sign applications.

UltraBoard White DP does equal Classic in available sheet sizes with standard 48” x 96” and 60” x 120” foam core board sizes. Bulk production orders are available in custom sheet sizes as well.
